NAACP Bob and Norma Ross Outstanding Leadership Award

In 2025, the Dayton Unit NAACP presented 6888 Kitchen Incubator with the Bob and Norma Ross Outstanding Leadership Award. This distinguished honor recognized our sustained leadership, commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and our efforts to create meaningful partnerships that strengthen the Greater Dayton community. The award reinforced our mission to empower entrepreneurs and expand economic opportunity through food entrepreneurship.

Who’s Who In Black Dayton Cincinnati Game Changer Recognition

At the 10th Anniversary celebration of Who’s Who In Black Dayton Cincinnati, 6888 Kitchen Incubator was recognized as a Game Changer. This honor celebrated the impact of our work in advancing Black excellence and economic equity. Being acknowledged among regional leaders and changemakers affirmed the collective effort of our team, partners, and entrepreneurs who continue to build lasting opportunity in our community.

Dayton Dragons Dream Big Award

In May 2024, 6888 Kitchen Incubator received the Dayton Dragons Dream Big Award, presented to entrepreneurs in the greater Dayton area who demonstrate determination and dedication to growing their businesses and strengthening the Miami Valley. This recognition honored the vision behind 6888 Kitchen Incubator and our impact in supporting the Dayton community through food entrepreneurship and economic development.

James Hemmings Uplifter State of Black Food Kulture Award 

In 2025, 6888 Kitchen Incubator received the James Hemmings Uplifter Award at the State of Black Food Kulture Awards. Named after James Hemmings, the first American to be classically trained as a chef in France, this award recognizes organizations committed to uplifting food entrepreneurs and advancing the Black food community. The honor affirmed our work in removing barriers for under-resourced culinary founders and building pathways to ownership.
